Andrea Pikscher: Content Marketing Manager

A Little Back Story

Andrea Pikscher has had a unique journey to Content and Social Media Marketing Manager at eGuide. Andrea started her career as actor and musical theatre performer. She then moved to teacher, which led her to working at Paramount School of the Arts in Aurora, IL. The school's mission was to provide arts to all. To make classes affordable and accessible to the community.

It was this mission of creating equitable access to the arts that led Andrea to her next career step, which was becoming head of Community Engagement for Paramount Theatre and Paramount School of the Arts. In this new role she got to flex her creative muscles by organizing free events for the community. Andrea was responsible for every step of the creation process with these events, including how to market them to the community. Nowadays, that means spending a lot of time on social media.

She is so excited to be with eGuide Tech Allies now to take her skills and help many different organizations.

Q&A With Andrea

Q: What’s something many don’t know about you? A: That I have won a Moth Story Hour Contest. I went not evening planning to put my name in to tell a story when I went to the event, and did it last minute on a whim. They called my name, I told my story, and ended up winning. Even more bizarre, the cast of Chicago P.D. was there that night, and Sophia Bush gave me a high five. Truly one of the coolest nights of my life.

Q: What is your go-to coffee or tea order? A: I normally go to Starbucks everyday after school drop off, and order two venti Earl Grey teas. I started ordering 2 after my second child was born, took a break from that order while pregnant with my third, and now find it even more necessary to order the two first thing the morning.

Q: What is your go to karaoke song? A: Celine Dion, It's All Coming Back to Me

Q: What is your go to comfort T.V. show that you could watch a million times and never get bored? A: FRIENDS - and any (and I mean ANY) housewives franchise on BRAVO

Q: What is your favorite eGuide core value? A: Do Something That Helps Someone

Q: What is your favorite partner story? A: Firstly, I love the wide array of people and clients we get to help at eGuide. I feel like I learn so much from each client. My favorite partner story - so far - is working with Together at Peace. For this partner, we've helped them completely redesign their website and are also working on monthly social media for them. The mission of their organization, to help light of those you've lost still shine, I find to be especially moving. Hearing people share their personal stories, while it can be hard to hear sometimes, is also very moving and connecting. I'm happy to help them connect people to one another.

Q: Best eGuide memory so far? A: Our company retreat is a favorite memory of mine. As a virtual company, even though we see each other on Zoom often, we see each other in person much less. Our first retreat that I got to be a part of was so much fun. It was great having in person experiences with these people that I see everyday, but didn't know much about. The retreat has only made our working relationships stronger.
