Feeling Stuck? 5 Great Websites for Design Inspiration

By Erin Neisewander - eGuide Digital Manager

We all feel stuck sometimes; creative blocks are no joke!

There are a lot of great websites out there for inspiration, staying on trend, and learning new tips and tricks. In this blog, we are going to touch on 5 different websites that are great for finding inspiration to keep those creative juices flowing!

Website #1: Behance

Most of you in the creative world have probably heard of or stumbled upon Behance at some point in your life. This website is a treasure trove of inspiration. One of the coolest points about it is that it’s part of the Adobe family of products and has a HUGE creative community behind it.

Their web design discovery page makes it incredibly easy to jump into the massive amounts of web design projects they have for your viewing pleasure. You can dial in even more with their search settings that can narrow down your list into location, themes, etc.

Website #2: Dribbble

Just like Behance, you’ve most likely stumbled upon Dribbble at some point in your search for inspiration as well, and it ranks right up there with our #1.

Dribbble is a large community of designers that not only share projects for inspiration, find work, and grow your skills all in one place.

Website #3: Best Website Gallery

This website is HIGHLY curated and more of the premium side of web design.

It’s less of a community feel, as it’s run by one person and has been since 2008!

They have a fantastic tagging system so you can quickly hone in on what you are looking for, and with over 2,000 websites to choose from, the inspiration possibilities are nearly endless.

Website #4: Awwwards

Each submission on this site has been carefully selected, and only the highest quality will get through.

Submissions are inspected by an expert set of judges before they are allowed on the site, and they offer a “site of the day” feature that pushes you straight into the best of each day. This is a really cool way to get noticed and to know that the sites you are looking at have been highly vetted, scored, and awwwarded (see what I did there) their place on the site .

Website #5: Commerce Cream

Commerce Cream is different from all the other sites we have mentioned for one key reason… You guessed it, they are all commerce based. Like Awwwards, the sites that are submitted and eventually hosted are all vetted and judged before they see the light of day. Anyone can submit, but only the best get featured. Another really cool aspect to Commerce Cream is that you can see who designed the site, and view their full portfolio of work!

There are SO many more websites out there for inspiration, and we encourage you to find your favorite one or five!  Remember we all get stuck in a creative rut sometimes, it happens to the best of us. Take a step back, look at some cool curated websites and get those creative juices flowing- tomorrow is always on the horizon for bigger and better things!
